Hailing from across the channel, Jolt Racing will compete in the Ligier European Series for the first time in 2024. The young British team which has set its sights on racing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will be running a Ligier JS P4.
Founded in 2022 in England by John Ingram, Jolt Racing has now based itself at Paul Ricard in France and has big ambitions: to progress up the endurance ladder until it reaches its ultimate goal of competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. To get this project off to a flying start, the team has decided to enter a sports prototype in the Ligier European Series.
This Ligier JS P4 will be driven by John Ingram, who has a solid motorsport background (including karting, Formula 3 and Le Mans Endurance Series). He will team with new driver Rupert Williams, who has raced in karts and the Citroën C1 Endurance Series.
“I am delighted to be bringing Jolt Racing into the Ligier European Series and onto the European endurance racing scene, said John Ingram. We very much look forward to competing at Le Mans in the support race to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. We’re a young team with big ambitions to progress through international endurance motorsport in the coming years. So, 2024 will be an important development year for the team on that journey.”
“I am thrilled to join the Ligier European Series in the JS P4 this year, added Rupert Williams. It’s a big step for me in just my second year of motorsport. But Jolt Racing is on an exciting journey, and I’m delighted to join such a fabulous championship with the team.”
