The second free practice session at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve was held on Friday, 20 September. Once again, the Ligier JS P4 and Ligier JS2 R drivers had to contend with unstable weather and a wet track surface. The #7 LR Motorsport Ligier JS P4 and #10 RLR MSport Ligier JS2 R set the pace in the session.
In the JS P4 category, the #7 of LR Motorsport with Simone Riccitelli and Jacopo Mazza led the session with a lap of 2:03.293s.
The #50 Ligier JS P4 of Les Deux Arbres with Louis Rossi and Steve Zacchia clinched the fastest lap in the PRO-AM category in 2:04.849s.
Georgios-Periklis Kolovos and Kaitatzis Panagiotis aboard the #4 from HPRacing by Monza Garage again topped the AM category with a lap of 2:08.047s.
In the JS2 R category, Maximus Mayer and Martin Rich (making his return to the series after a first appearance on this same circuit in 2022) in the #10 of RLR MSport were fastest overall and in the PRO-AM class, with a lap of 2:10.762s.
David Rodorigo in the #43 LR Motorsport Ligier JS2 R posted the fastest lap in the AM class in 2:10.832s.
The two qualifying sessions will take place at 12:20 and 12: 45 pm.
