The second Mugello Heat free practice session, held in the early afternoon, was dominated by the #81 Ligier JS P4 of LR Motorsport and the #60 Ligier JS2 R of Iron Lynx by LRMotorsport.
A red flag briefly interrupted the session due to spilt oil on the track. After the track clean-up, the session resumed for 13 minutes, allowing the Mugello Heat competitors to prepare for the afternoon’s qualifying sessions.
The #81 Ligier JS P4 of Jacopo Mazza set the session’s fastest time in 1m53.196s. After his morning session was affected by an off-track excursion, Iko Segret, in the #6 of ANS Motorsport, set the second-fastest time in 1m54.019s. Haydn Chance in the #1 Team Virage Ligier JS P4 was third fastest with a lap of 1m54.378s.
Jacques Nicolet, driving the #58 for M Racing, led the way in the AM category with a time of 1m58.377s.
The #60 Iron Lynx by LRMotorsport Ligier JS2 R repeated its morning performance with Matteo Pianezzola, who clocked a time of 1m59.715s. Gwenaël Delomier, making his Ligier European Series debut in the #18 of Pegasus Racing, finished second with a lap of 2m00.738s. He was also the quickest in the AM category. Lastly, Julien Schell, in Pegasus Racing’s #29 entry, completed the top 3 in Free Practice 2 and also finished atop the PRO/AM class.
