Second free practice session in Catalunya. Once again, Team Virage was at the top of the JS P4 category, but this time with its #60 sports prototype. As for the Ligier JS2 R category, as in the first session this morning, the #42 of ANS Motorsport posted the fastest lap in its category.
Ligier JS P4 category: George King and Bernardo Pinheiro at the front of the field with Team Virage
Second best in free practice 1 this morning, George King and Bernardo Pinheiro in the #60 Team Virage Ligier JS P4 moved up a place on the timesheet this afternoon. With the fastest lap of 1:45.798s, the #60 topped the session.
In the AM class, the Greek duo of Georgios-Periklis Kolovos/Kaitatzis Panagiotis in the #4 HPRacing by Monza Garage Ligier JS P4 improved on their morning performance with the fastest lap of 1:47.232s.
The #14 of Inter Europol Competition went out at Turn 1 with Fareed Ali at the wheel. The driver was unhurt but the car was too damaged and the team will not take part in both races.
Ligier JS2 R category: the #42 of ANS Motorsport is again the fastest GT car
Behind the wheel of the #42 Ligier JS2 R, AM driver Julien Lemoine once again led the category. His lap of 1:54.016s was the benchmark time among the GT competitors.
The #29 Pegasus Racing Ligier JS2 R with Christophe Weber and Jordan Meyer was the PRO-AM leader, as the #10 RLR MSport (Simon Butler and Maximus Mayer) did not take part in the session.
The qualifying sessions will take place today at 5 pm and 5:20 pm.
