Press Release, 30 November 2023 – On the eve of its fifth season, the European single-make series is changing its visual identity, as are the other championships organised by Le Mans Endurance Management (LMEM).
Sleeker than its original version, the new Ligier European Series logo adopts the same codes as the other championships organised by LMEM. The use of “navy blue”, commonly referred to as “endurance blue”, also present in the World Endurance Championship’s (WEC) and the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) new identity, visually underscores that the single-make series is a member of the LMEM family of championships.
The typography of the “European Series” baseline is identical to that of the WEC, ELMS and Michelin Le Mans Cup, reinforcing the link between the different championships. The red of this baseline is reminiscent of one of the Ligier French brand’s colours, helping to differentiate the series from its big sisters, each of which has its own colour.
With its slant specific to the French manufacturer, the Ligier logo adds vitality to the new logo and evokes the sporting spirit that characterises all LMEM competitions.
