On 4 and 5 April 2025, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya hosted the first official races of the brand-new Ligier JS P325 — the third generation of the Ligier LMP3 — competing in both the Michelin Le Mans Cup and the European Le Mans Series.
Among the drivers on the grid, several former Ligier European Series competitors stood out, confirming the key role the series plays in developing future endurance racing talents.

Former Ligier European Series drivers shine in the Michelin Le Mans Cup
- Cédric Oltramare, who raced in the JS2 R category in 2021 and 2022, made a strong impression by winning the Michelin Le Mans Cup race at the wheel of the #97 Ligier JS P325 for CLX Motorsport.
- Julien Lemoine, 2023 JS2 R Champion with ANS Motorsport, claimed the very first pole position in the new LMP3 PRO/AM category with the Ligier JS P325.
- Romain Favre, who raced in 2024 in the JS P4 category with Inter Europol Competition, finished third with the #26 Forestier Racing by VPS Ligier JS P325 .
- Horst Felix Felbermayr Junior, a JS2 R driver in 2022, placed fourth in the PRO/AM class, sharing the #12 Reiter Engineering Ligier JS P325 with his father.
- Théo Micouris, 2024 JS P4 Champion, made his LMP3 debut in the #16 Team Virage Ligier JS P325 and finished fourth in the race, after qualifying second.
- Maximus Mayer, third in JS2 R in 2023, and Haydn Chance, 2024 JS P4 Champion alongside Théo Micouris, also lined up for their first LMP3 outing. While they haven’t shown their full potential yet, the season is just getting started.

Former series drivers also stand out in the European Le Mans Series
- Gillian Henrion, 2022 JS P4 Champion in the Ligier European Series, made an incredible comeback from 8th to 2nd in the #15 RLR MSport Ligier JS P325.
- Louis Rossi, a former motorcycle racer who switched to endurance in 2023 driving a Ligier JS P4 for Les Deux Arbres, finished fifth in the #35 Ultimate Ligier JS P325.
- Ian Aguilera, who raced in JS P4 in 2023 and 2024 with RLR MSport and was 2024 JS P4 Vice-Champion, set the fastest lap in the ELMS race at the wheel of the #11 Eurointernational Ligier JS P325. Unfortunately, the team had to retire despite this performance.
From the Ligier JS P4 to the JS P325, via the JS2 R, the progression is real. These results confirm that the Ligier European Series is truly fulfilling its role as a springboard to higher categories, and that the Ligier development pathway is stronger than ever.
