
The second free practice session for the Spa Heat took place on Friday afternoon, 22 August, at the legendary Belgian circuit. The 40-minute session allowed the teams to fine-tune their set-ups ahead of qualifying, which begins tomorrow at 10:40 am.
As in the morning, the #22 Loire Valley Racing Ligier JS P4, driven by Romain Boeckler, was quickest in the JS P4 category with a best lap of 2m22.675s. Mathis Poulet, in the #19 Trajectus Motorsport Ligier JS P4, was right behind with a time of 2m22.993s. Dario Cabanelas, in the #1 Team Virage Ligier JS P4, was third in the second free practice session with a time of 2m23.052.
Kristian Brookes in the #33 360 Competition Ligier JS P4 led the PRO-AM category with a lap of 2m23.701s, whilst Jacques Nicolet, behind the wheel of the #58 HP Racing by MRacing Ligier JS P4, topped the AM class in 2m28.536s.

In the JS2 R category, the #18 VSF Sports Ligier JS2 R led the pack thanks to the fastest time set by Steven Palette in 2m30.056s. Simone Riccitelli, in the #7 LR Motorsport Ligier JS2 R, clocked a lap of 2m30.487s to finish second. August Therbo, in the #57 23Events Racing Ligier JS2 R, was third in 2m30.579s.
In the PRO-AM class, Jordan Meyer in the #94 Pegasus Racing Ligier JS2 R was again top of the timing screen with a lap of 2m39.041s. Florian Teillais, driving the #41 VSF Sports Ligier JS2 R, set the fastest time in the AM class with a lap of 2m34.387s.
The two 15-minute qualifying sessions will take place tomorrow, Saturday 23 August, at 10:40 and 11 am to determine the starting grids for the two Spa Heat races.
