Through these efforts, Iron Dames remain committed to providing a solid platform for aspiring athletes to achieve their career dreams, backed by unwavering support, professionalism, and collective strength.

The Ligier European Series, now in its fifth season, serves as a stepping stone onto the endurance racing pyramid and is held during the European Le Mans Series meetings. The championship continues to attract new teams and drivers from around the globe, and Marta’s participation is sure to add further excitement to this growing series. As Marta prepares to take on this new challenge, she embodies the Iron Dames’ philosophy of pushing boundaries and giving shape to dreams, promising an exciting debut.

Marta will be joined at Spa by Sarah Bovy, Rahel Frey, Michelle Gatting (ELMS), Celia Martin and Karen Gaillard (LMC), bringing the total number of Iron Dames competing to six, a first for an endurance racing weekend.

Marta Garcia: “I am thrilled to be joining the Ligier European Series with Iron Dames and M-Racing at such a legendary circuit like Spa. This will be my first experience in a GT car, and I am eager to take on this new challenge, learn and adapt as quick as possible. It’s an exciting step in my career, and I’m happy to represent Iron Dames in this endeavor and grateful for the opportunity.”

About the Iron Dames:

Founded in 2018 by Deborah Mayer, the Iron Dames is a groundbreaking project committed to promoting and supporting women in sports where they compete on equal terms with men. The project has been launched and rapidly developed in motorsport. The Iron Dames, as an all-female line-up, achieved historic victories and breakthroughs at the pinnacle of world endurance racing, including becoming the first all-female team to win a race in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the first to finish second in the championship. In other racing categories, a new generation of pink drivers is also on the rise aiming to reach the highest level.

From 2023, the project extends to Equestrian sport with an elite women’s show jumping team with the ambition to compete in the most prestigious FEI championships, including Longines Global Champions Tour as the first-ever all-female line-up. Under the banner “Cannes Stars powered by Iron Dames”, the team triumphed in a spectacular debut in the first round in Doha, Qatar.

Developing and evolving fast and for the long term, the Iron Dames project now brings together 20 athletes who carry the torch of “women driven dreams” at the highest level and also serve as a beacon of empowerment for all passionate women and the younger generation.
