
The Silverstone Heat competitors headed for the second free practice session of the weekend on a track declared wet by race officials.
The #12 ASM Motorsport Ligier JS P4 driven by Luis Carlos Pérez Cabello, topped the category with a lap time of 2m17.034s. Vic Stevens was second best in the #27 Team Virage Ligier JS P4 with a time of 2m17.066s. Romain Boeckler was third in the #22 Loire Valley Racing Ligier JS P4 run by Trajectus Motorsport with a lap of 2m17.570s.
The #33 360 Competition Ligier JS P4 led the PRO-AM category in 2m17.994s set by Kristian Brookes, while David Caussanel, in the #16 Pegasus Racing Ligier JS P4, was best in the AM category in 2m20.278s.

In the Ligier JS2 R category, the #7 LR Motorsport entry, driven by Simone Riccitelli, was best with a time of 2m23.968s. Steven Palette in the #18 VSF Sports Ligier JS2 R was next in 2m24.303s, followed by August Therbo with a time of 2m24.547s in the #57 23Events Racing Ligier JS2 R.
In the PRO-AM category, Jordan Meyer (#94 Pegasus Racing Ligier JS2 R) led the way in 2m28.519s.Florian Teillais and Tristan Clay, in the #41 VSF Sports Ligier JS2R, topped the AM class.
Now it’s time for the two qualifying sessions, which take place at 3:50 pm and 4:10 pm, each lasting 15 minutes, which will determine the starting grids for the two Silverstone Heat races, Saturday, 13 September.
