Silverstone Heat, Free Practice 1: Team Virage and LR Motorsport dominate.

The 23-car field for the Silverstone Heat was on track for the very first time on the British circuit for Free Practice 1 on Friday morning, 12 September.

Hamda Al Qubaisi, driving Team Virage’s #88 entry car, led the JS P4 category with a lap time of 2m04.171s, set in the final minutes of the session. She was followed by the #33 360 Competition Ligier JS P4, with local drivers, Christopher Preen and Kristian Brookes. The latter set a lap time of 2m04.209s, securing the fastest lap in the PRO-AM category. Romain Boeckler, driving the #22 Loire Valley Racing Ligier JS P4 operated by Trajectus Motorsport, completed the top three with a time of 2m04.590s.

In AM, the #16 Pegasus Racing Ligier JS P4 dominated the session with a lap of 2m07.745s set by David Caussanel.

The JS2 R category was led by the #7 from LR Motorsport with a fastest lap of 2m11.044s set by Simone Riccitelli. Steven Palette, behind the wheel of the #18 of VSF Sports Ligier JS2 R, was second with a time of 2m12.309s. Championship leader August Therbo, in the #57 23Events Racing JS2 R, was third with a lap of 2m12.963s.

The #94 Pegasus Racing Ligier JS2 R topped the PRO-AM class with a lap of 2m19.022s set by Jordan Meyer. Tristan Clay, driving the #41 VSF Sports Ligier JS2 R, was quickest in the AM class with a lap of 2m16.084s.

The second 40-minute free practice session takes place this afternoon at 1:30 pm local time, followed by two 15-minute qualifying sessions at 3:50 pm and 4:10 pm local time.
