After its first experience of the championship in the opening Heat of the 2020 season at Circuit Paul Ricard last summer, Les Deux Arbres returns to the Ligier European Series with its two Ligier JS P4s. And this year, they will take part in the full season.
Created ten years ago by Jack Leconte, Les Deux Arbres runs the Val de Vienne circuit in France. A regular campaigner in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the World and European endurance championships with his well-established Larbre Compétition team, Jack Leconte opened a driving school a few years ago at the Val de Vienne circuit where students drive single-seaters but also Ligiers and more specifically the Ligier JS P4.
In 2020, two Ligier JS P4s raced at Le Castellet to learn about the Ligier European Series that was just starting. And it was a very promising weekend for the #33 and #34 Ligier JS P4s with two pole positions, a win and a podium finish.
The two Ligier JS P4s are back for 2021 and this time for the full season. The objective with this commitment is to offer gentlemen drivers and young drivers the opportunity to discover competition and the world of endurance racing. A complementary offer to that of the driving school.
“With this entry for the season, we are now in a position to offer drivers who want to continue their preparation to move on to the competition phase,” explains Jack Leconte, President of Les Deux Arbres. “The Ligier European Series is ideal base to start from and discover the world of endurance racing. It is the first step before moving up the racing ladder to the Michelin Le Mans Cup, the European Le Mans Series and the World Endurance Championship. With the driving school and our experience in endurance racing as a race team, we can accompany and guide drivers from their debut to the ultimate stage that is the 24 Hours of Le Mans.”
