For the second consecutive year, the fifth Heat of the Ligier European Series will take place at the Silverstone Circuit on 11 and 12 September. Twenty-four competitors will take part in this round at a circuit renowned in particular for its sequence of high-speed corners, Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel.
The objective for this penultimate round of the 2026 season is simple: leave Silverstone at the top of the championship standings.
Ligier JS P4: Team Virage and ANS Motorsport locked in a battle at the top.
The highly competitive JS P4 category has produced some thrilling on-track battles since the start of the season, with the championship lead closely contested. Just four points separate the top two teams in the standings.
The #14 Team Virage JS P4, on 114 points, regained the championship lead following a strong performance at Spa-Francorchamps, where Alex Gardner and Simon Schranz claimed victory in Race 1. Close behind is the #6 ANS Motorsport entry, driven by Ethan Pharamond and Mika Abrahams, who have scored 110 points since the start of the season, including a second-place finish in Race 2 at Spa last August.
Third in the championship is the #7 LR Motorsport car, driven by Simone Riccitelli and Pietro Ferri. Following a difficult round at Spa, the two Italian drivers now trail the championship leader by 30 points. The title therefore remains within reach, and a strong performance at Silverstone could shake up the standings.
In the PRO-AM class, Marius Kristiansen and Dominique Bastien, at the wheel of the #69 Bretton Racing entry, lead the standings with 100 points. The #50 Les Deux Arbres JS P4, driven by Jeremy Loisel, also leads the AM standings with 100 points. However, the car will not take part in the British round, leaving the way clear for this season’s newcomers, Allay Racing and Emil Hellberg in the #48 JS P4.

Ligier JS2 R: a crucial round in the title fight
Thanks to a double victory at the Belgian round and consistent performances throughout the season, Daniel Dallakyan and Antonin Bernard lead the championship in the #41 VSF Sports car with 130 points. They hold a 57-point advantage over their nearest rival, the #84 Trajectus Motorsport entry driven by Jack Tabery and Martin Tabery. The father-and-son pairing also leads the PRO-AM standings.
The #18 VSF Sports car, driven by Maxime Aparicio and Anthony Ghibaudo, sits third in the overall standings with 70 points and second in PRO-AM, 29 points behind the #84.
Everything therefore remains possible for the leading three teams, for whom this British round will be crucial in the battle for the titles.

Track action will begin on Friday 11 September with two free practice sessions, the first from 9:55 to 10:35 am and the second from 1:55 to 2:35 pm local time. The day will conclude with two qualifying sessions, from 4:55 to 5:10 pm and from 5:15 to 5:30 pm local time.
The two races of the Silverstone Heat will take place on Saturday 12 September, with Race 1 from 8:45 to 9:45 am and Race 2 from 1:45 to 2:45 am local time. Both races will be broadcast live on the series’ YouTube channel and across its social media platforms.
