The 26 Ligier European Series entrants took to Paul Ricard Circuit in Le Castellet on Friday, May 2, 2025, for the first 40-minute free practice session of Heat 2 of the season.

In the JS P4 category, the winner of Race 2 in Barcelona, Romain Boeckler, in the #22 from Loire Valley Racing, led the way with a lap time of 2m09.220s, followed by the #6 ANS Motorsport JS P4, driven by Maxwell Dodds and Iko Segret. The latter completed a lap in 2m10.003s, just ahead of the #88 Team Virage JS P4, driven by the Al Qubaisi sisters, with Hamda stopping the stopwatch in 2m10.478s.
In the PRO-AM category, Kristian Brookes was the fastest with the #33 360 Competition JS P4 with a time of 2m11.525s. The #16 Pegasus Racing JS P4 was best in the AM class with a lap of 2m13.562s set by David Caussanel.

The JS2 R category was dominated by VSF Sports’ #18 with a lap of 2m16.266s by Lukas Papin. The double pole-sitter in Barcelona, Simone Riccitelli, driving the #7 LR Motorsport JS2 R, was net at 2m16.483s. The #83 Trajectus Motorsport JS2 R was third, with Martin Lacquemanne behind the wheel in 2m17.568s.
The #84 Trajectus Motorsport JS2 R led the PRO-AM class with a lap of 2m20.043s set by Nicolas Markiewicz. Tristan Clay in the #41 VSF Sports JS2 R was quickest among the AM competitors with a lap of 2m21.142s.
The second 40-minute free practice session is this afternoon at 1:30 pm, followed by two 15-minute qualifying sessions at 3:40 and 4:00 pm.
