
The second half of the 2025 Ligier European Series season is underway. On Friday morning, 22 August, the 24 competitors entered for the Spa Heat took to the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit for a 40-minute free practice session.
Winner at Le Mans in June, Romain Boeckler, behind the wheel of the #22 Loire Valley Racing Ligier JS P4, led the way with a lap time of 2m22.865s. #1 Team Virage JS P4 finished second in this opening session with Dario Cabanelas completing a lap of 2m24.719s. Matteo Pianezzola, in the #60 Iron Lynx by M Racing Ligier JS P4, was third in 2m24.950s.
Kristian Brookes was the fastest in the PRO-AM class with the #33 Ligier JS P4 of 360 Competition and a best lap of 2m27.477s. The #16 Ligier JS P4 of Pegasus Racing was quickest in the AM class with a lap of 2m27.608s set by David Caussanel.

In the Ligier JS2 R category, championship leader LR Motorsport with Simone Riccitelli set the pace with a lap of 2m31.226s in the #7 Ligier JS2 R. Lukas Papin in the #18 from VSF Sport was second in 2m32.001s, followed by August Therbo in the #57 23Events Racing Ligier JS2 R in 2m32.264s.
The #94 Pegasus Racing led the PRO-AM class with a lap of 2m40.352s set by Jordan Meyer. In his home race, Belgium’s Martin Tabery topped the AM class with a time of 2m36.021s in Trajectus Motorsport’s #84.
The second 40-minute free practice session takes place this afternoon at 1:20 pm.
