
The Silverstone Heat competitors headed out on a dry track on Friday 11 September afternoon for the second free practice session of the weekend. The session was interrupted by a red flag with less than six minutes remaining.
The top three teams in the championship filled the first three places on the JS P4 timesheets in this second free practice session. The #6 ANS Motorsport Ligier JS P4, driven by Ethan Pharamond, was fastest with a 2:04.236 lap. Simone Riccitelli was close behind in the #7 LR Motorsport Ligier JS P4 with a best time of 2:04.400. Simon Schranz clocked the third best time in the #14 Team Virage entry with a 2:04.978.
Marius Kristiansen set the fastest PRO-AM lap in the #69 Bretton Racing Ligier JS P4 with a 2:05.505, while Emil Hellberg topped the AM classification in the #48 Allay Racing car with a best time of 2:08.043.

In the Ligier JS2 R category, Simone Bianco led the field in the #81 LR Motorsport entry with a best lap of 2:11.909. Daniel Dallakyan followed in the #41 VSF Sports car with a 2:12.008, while Anthony Ghibaudo placed the #18 VSF Sports Ligier JS2 R third with a 2:12.325. The French driver also topped the PRO-AM classification.
Attention now turns to the two qualifying sessions, scheduled for 16:55 and 17:15 local time. Each 15-minute session will determine the starting grid for one of the two Silverstone Heat races.
